I am going through the same thought process for northern california gravel/road rides. Some of the gravel is >20% grades so gearing for that and the road is where I am having a hard time deciding between 1x and 2x. WebSRAM is certainly more accessible at the moment. Apex has already been on the market for a while, so spare parts are easy to get your hands on, and if we want to hunt down a particular part of the groupset, it'll be, for sure, much easier than in the case of Shimano GRX. Additionally, we've noticed that Apex works quieter than GRX.
